As an Administrator, Life Events, you will play a key role in analyzing and processing requests related to Group Savings and Retirement plans.

What you will accomplish with us

As an Administrator, Life Events, you will be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Review death notifications and related documents for completeness and accuracy

  • Analyse member accounts to determine beneficiary entitlements and applicable tax policies

  • Analyse separation agreements and other legal documents and apply applicable legislation to process payments of pension divisions

  • Apply applicable legislation and perform calculations related to the set up and ongoing payments of deaccumulation plans

  • Analyse member plans to determine payments in cases of bankruptcy or seizure claims on accounts and apply applicable legislation

  • Communicate with members/clients to request missing documentation or information

  • Collaborate with internal teams (customer service, compliance or legal) in complex situations

  • Process payments in multiple systems with accuracy whilst respecting the service levels of the team

  • Issue tax slips in accordance with applicable legislation

  • Perform peer-review of transactions for accuracy

Note: This position may involve occasional periods requiring overtime. For customer service positions, handling incoming calls is part of the role.

  • Holds a college diploma in financial services, administration, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Has less than one year of relevant experience

  • An intermediate level of English proficiency is required, as the individual will need to communicate verbally and in writing with external clients and partners on a regular basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is between CAD 47,544 and CAD 78,090 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
