As a Financial Accounting Advisor, you will play a key role in financial analysis and the continuous improvement of practices within the Finance – Corporate Actuarial sector. Reporting to the Director, Financial Performance, you will leverage your analytical mindset, initiative, communication skills, and autonomy to support the organization’s financial performance.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Financial Accounting Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Your main responsibilities include:

• Producing management financial information for senior leadership

• Supporting various departments with the accounting, disclosure, and accounting treatment of project‑related transactions

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team’s work methods

• Monitoring budgets and analyzing trends in overhead expenses

• Participating in the budgeting process and in the preparation of financial forecasts

• Managing various projects or strategic mandates related to your area of expertise

• Participating in the preparation of audit files

• Ensuring the proper functioning and monitoring of certain internal controls

• Maintaining and further developing your expertise and knowledge

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is recognized for their rigor and accounting expertise

• Stands out for their transparency, communication skills, and ability to clearly explain financial information

• Demonstrates strong autonomy, analytical skills, and initiative

• Is recognized for their proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Oracle for accounting purposes is an asset

• Has 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting specialization; a CPA designation with 2 to 5 years of experience is preferred. No prior knowledge of the financial services industry is required.
