Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Associate Advisor for clients across all segments. In this role, the bilingual Associate Advisor plays a pivotal role in providing essential support to Administrative Assistants and Advisors within the team. With a focus on both sales support and administrative tasks, the Associate Advisor will have the opportunity to expand their expertise in the investment industry while assisting Advisors and contributing to the growth of client assets. The role offers a unique blend of sales support, administrative responsibilities, and the chance to develop foundational skills essential for success in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, aiming to progress to roles such as Advisor or Independent Advisor, and enthusiastic about exploring various internal career paths within the organization.

Major accountabilities include:
Proactively build and grow a book of clients through service-oriented sales strategies to achieve business development goals.
Schedule client-advisor meetings and facilitate the transition of client relationship.
Support Advisors with meeting preparations, forms completion and any additional requests.
Cultivate long-term client relationships by gaining insight into their financial goals and providing tailored financial advice with the support of Advisors.
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through assets consolidation, addressing insurance needs and facilitating referrals.
Ensure accuracy and up-to-date information in client accounts and documentation.
Execute client trade accurately and in a timely manner.
Stay up to date with regulatory rules and changes in the investment industry
Stay informed about market trends and economic developments that may impact client portfolios.
Follow up with clients on missing documentation required.
Maintain client files and information on the appropriate systems.
Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries and requests.
Provide knowledgeable and precise service to clients to meet their needs effectively.
Document all client interactions and transactions accurately.
Resolve issues and process client transactions expediently and accurately, escalating issues to the Director when necessary.
Understand required documentation for all client account types.
Ensure compliance of team policies and procedures.
Collaborate with business partners and independent advisors to enhance client service and offerings.
Qualifications:
1 to 2 years of experience in investment advisory, wealth management, financial planning or similar role
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Pleasant telephone manner and an ability to keep client conversations on track
Working knowledge of investment and retirement planning to meet the needs of clients
Strong organizational skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Ability to meet deadlines and targets
Strong understanding of industry and firm compliance regulations
Education and Accreditations:
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completed
Conduct & Practices Handbook course (CPH) completed
Wealth Management Essentials course (WME) completed or enrolled
Preference will be given to applicants that are already licensed with CIRO as Investment or Registered Representative.
Preference will be given to applicants that have financial planning courses.
Bilingual [French] is mandatory
