What You Will Accomplish with Us

As a Building Estimator – Imaging, you will be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing estimates submitted by contractors, disaster restoration firms, or other involved stakeholders.

  • Making corrections, recommendations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Preparing repair and reconstruction cost estimates based on digital photos, reports, technical documents, and available file information.

  • Providing technical support to claims adjusters regarding estimation methods, materials, and reconstruction, drying, or post‑loss cleaning techniques.

  • Working closely with internal teams and external partners in a collaborative, rigorous, and solution‑oriented manner.

  • Contributing to compliance with agreements, policies, and procedures in partnership with suppliers.

  • Performing any other related duties as requested by the manager.

What Could Accelerate Your Success in This Role

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a D.E.C. or A.E.C. in building estimation or disaster recovery techniques, or has equivalent relevant experience; IICRC certification is an asset.

  • Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in building estimation or disaster recovery.

  • Has a solid knowledge of the National Building Code.

  • Is proficient in or familiar with Xactimate estimating software (strong asset).

  • Has a good understanding of post‑loss cleaning techniques and contents management principles (strong asset).

  • Is recognized for strong negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrates a strong collaborative mindset.

  • Stands out for sound judgment and sense of accountability.

  • Shows rigor, attention to detail, and autonomy.

  • Is known for excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in French.
