As a Senior Advisor, Compensation and Benefits – HR M&A, you will play a key role in the analysis, recommendation and integration of total compensation programs within the context of transactions and HR integrations.

You will be part of the Talent and Culture Vice Presidency – Programs, Systems and Analytics, within the HR Mergers, Acquisitions and Integrations team, whose activities are at the core of iA Financial Group’s growth strategy.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Senior Advisor, Compensation and Benefits – HR M&A, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analyses of compensation and benefits programs of targeted entities, identify gaps with iA practices and assess risks (compliance, costs, retention, equity, feasibility)
• Produce structured diagnostics and recommendations to support decision-making in transaction contexts
• Develop and compare harmonization scenarios for compensation and benefits programs, recommend appropriate approaches and define action plans to transition to the target state
• Assess the impacts of scenarios on employees, managers, costs and operations
• Provide specialized inputs for cost evaluations and collaborate with the modeling function to ensure accuracy of assumptions and analyses
• Contribute to the quantification of harmonization impacts and identify factors influencing transition costs and recurring costs
• Participate in the planning and execution of integration activities, support employee transitions and contribute to communication and support tools
• Identify integration risks and propose mitigation measures, while contributing to post-integration reviews and stabilization of operations
• Collaborate with Total Compensation and centers of expertise, structure tools and templates for the HR M&A practice and document learnings to support continuous improvement

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is known for their rigor, sound judgment and ability to document analyses and recommendations in complex, confidential and evolving environments
• Stands out for their ability to advise, influence and collaborate effectively in a matrix environment with centers of expertise and multidisciplinary partners
• Demonstrates strong ability to translate strategic directions into concrete action plans and ensure their implementation
• Is recognized for their strong synthesis, communication and ability to simplify complex information for various stakeholders
• Demonstrates strong adaptability and ease navigating sensitive, ambiguous and high-visibility matters, particularly in mergers, acquisitions and integration contexts
• Has several years of experience in total compensation, including direct compensation, benefits or transformation and integration contexts
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and demonstrates advanced proficiency with analytical tools, particularly Excel (knowledge of Workday is an asset)
• Has experience in cost analysis, scenario development or North American environments, which is considered an asset for the role
• Advanced level of English proficiency, as the role involves analyzing compensation programs, collaborating on mergers, acquisitions and integration initiatives, participating in discussions and supporting integration activities with unilingual English-speaking partners, particularly in the United States, on a regular basis

The typical hiring range for this position is between 55 376$ and 105 376$ CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
