What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Vice-President, National Sales and Distribution, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Lead a large sales organization and execute sales and business development strategies aligned with the company’s vision, priorities, and objectives. Develop compelling business plans and sales models, including multichannel strategies (retail, OEM, wholesale, used vehicles, and non-automotive), territory design, market management, forecasting, resource planning, and budget and expense management to drive growth and performance;

  • Partner with Strategy and Project teams to ensure short-, medium-, and long-term sales plans are comprehensive and tactically sound, including quota setting and complementary objectives, revenue and growth targets, product and pricing optimization, and the integration of performance indicators and measures to guide adjustments in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape;

  •  Review the service model and organizational structure to ensure the voice of dealers and partners is reflected, while anticipating upcoming changes across the sector;

  • Own sales performance, results, profitability, sales commitments, winning sales strategies, and campaigns that drive organic growth and new business. Oversee the thoughtful and effective development of solutions and agreements, as well as their timely execution;

  • Represent iA by building trust and cultivating strong relationships with new and existing clients and stakeholders, including dealers, manufacturers, automotive associations, national and provincial regulatory authorities, the media, and other external stakeholders;

  • · Maintain a strong national presence through regular travel across Canada, representing approximately 50% to 60% of the role. Actively participate in industry conferences, automotive association events, and key market forums to strengthen iA’s visibility, reinforce its position as a distinctive and leading service provider for OEMs, dealers, and clients, deepen relationships with existing partners, and identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships;

  • Represent Sales at the executive level and maintain strong, transparent relationships with functional partners, including Marketing, IT, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, and support services. Collaborate with Marketing and Product/Service teams to ensure products are aligned with client needs and business objectives, and to support innovative product development;

  • Conduct ongoing market analysis, understand market requirements and specifications, and remain current on regulatory and governance requirements. Continuously monitor market changes and their impact on sales and operations, and take appropriate action, including business development initiatives that create growth opportunities or market advantages;

  • ·Design and implement formal sales processes and structures, supported by standards of conduct that reinforce professionalism, ensure ethical practices—particularly with respect to the fair treatment of customers—and promote respect for clients, stakeholders, and colleagues;

  • · Mentor, coach, train, and advise the sales leadership team and professionals. Conduct regular talent assessments to ensure experience, capabilities, and skills are optimized; identify gaps and development needs; and ensure individuals have the opportunities and tools required to succeed. Coach leaders to do the same with their respective teams;

  • Create and sustain a positive, growth-oriented culture and an engaging, rewarding work environment, while recognizing the value of diverse personalities and sales styles. Recruit talent that meets business needs, demonstrates strong cultural alignment, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing, customer-centric sales environment;

  • Foster collaboration and synergies across sales teams and networks;

  • Oversee the effective design of compensation and commission structures to support sales and growth objectives.
