Director, Business Development, Wealth – Quebec
The Director, Business Development, Wealth is responsible for supporting advisors in their assigned area by providing them with the resources, tools and education to enhance and grow the investment component of their business.
The Director, Business Development, Wealth is responsible for ensuring the achievement of identified Investments sales objectives and targets through relationship management and on-going business development efforts.
Develop sales plans and initiatives and proactively meet with identified Advisors to build rapport, understand their business, and use PPI resources to help them grow their Investment business.
Recruit and establish strong working relationships with new PPI Advisors.
Develop and deliver product materials and sales concepts for Advisors regarding the unique features of segregated funds, their applicability in specific markets and their investment features.
Develop and deliver product materials for sales staff and Advisors regarding the Private Wealth Management referral platform and PPI Valet roboadvice platform.
Maintain a high degree of industry and product knowledge, understanding the competitive market, and remaining current on industry trends and initiatives.
Effectively resolve issues and/or complaints from advisors as they pertain to investment sales.
Act as a recourse to staff and Advisors on queries related to investment products and sales.
Work with the National Vice-President, Wealth Relations and Sales in identifying and communicating local marketplace issues and trends.
Create and support the value-added service culture of PPI.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Must be fluently bilingual (both oral and written) in French and English
Undergraduate degree in a business related program
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the marketing and sales of segregated funds or related products
License for Insurance Sales in the province they reside
Appropriate industry designations desired (CFP, CLU, ChFC)
Expert knowledge and understanding of marketplace products and competition within the investments industry as well as knowledge of the local market
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, applying business knowledge and sound judgement to make appropriate recommendations
Proven sales and marketing skills
Demonstrated entrepreneurial attitude with the initiative to be innovative and creative with developing new ideas and concepts
Exemplary interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated skill in making presentations to groups of people
Creative problem solver with highly developed critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to flourish in environments of significant change
Demonstrated ability to work within and promote a team-based environment
Ability to represent self, office and organization in a professional, positive manner at all times
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
