What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst – Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Assess the expected profitability and inherent risks of a product or of the portfolio as a whole. Clearly communicate findings to management and propose strategies to optimize the risk/return profile, along with concrete solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Update dividends for participating products and review adjustable products, while ensuring fair treatment of policyholders.

  • Analyze the potential impacts of launching a new product or modifying an existing one on the in-force business, financial results, and the organization’s capital position.

  • Contribute to the optimization and negotiation of reinsurance agreements.

  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to improve processes and quantify the impact on profitability and risk mitigation.

  • Demonstrates strong ability to collaborate with impact, including teamwork, influencing skills, the ability to build strong networks, authenticity, and openness to feedback.

  • Is recognized for their organizational and prioritization skills, enabling the ability to meet deadlines, as well as proficiency in tools such as Excel and AXIS (an asset).

  • Has a minimum of three years of experience and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science with the ACIA designation (interest in pursuing the FCIA designation is an asset).
