What you’ll accomplish with us
As an Analyst, Life Events (GSR), you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Analyze member accounts and legal documentation to determine beneficiary entitlements, pension divisions, and applicable tax and legislative requirements across Canada.
- Review and process complex life event cases (death, divorce, bankruptcy, unlocking requests, deaccumulation plans) in accordance with applicable legislation.
- Perform calculations related to pension divisions, settlements, and ongoing payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (customer service, compliance, legal) and communicate with members/clients to obtain required information and resolve complex cases.
- Process financial transactions, review exception reports, issue tax slips, and perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to service standards.

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 1 to 3 years of experience in financial services, retirement products, or a related field.
- Is known for their strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Stands out for their autonomy, proactivity, and eagerness to learn.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to navigate complex legislation.
- Is recognized for their communication skills and empathy when interacting with clients.
- Must have an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the individual will be required to analyze complex files, read and draft memos and documentation in English, and communicate with and respond to emails from English-speaking clients daily.
