Do you aspire to have a tangible impact on the ESG credibility of a leading financial institution, with senior management and the Board of Directors?

As Practice Lead – Sustainability and Non‑Financial Disclosures, you will play a senior expert and influential leadership role within the Sustainability team at iA Financial Group. This role represents a unique opportunity to leverage your strategic judgment, rigor and influence in a dynamic, collaborative and continuously evolving environment.

What you will accomplish with us

Non‑financial disclosures

As Practice Lead, you will play a key role in the quality, reliability and evolution of the organization’s ESG disclosures. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating and contributing to the production of the organization’s main non‑financial disclosures, including the annual sustainability report and the climate report, in accordance with applicable frameworks and standards.
  • Advising the organization on the strategic content of ESG disclosures, including the management proxy circular, annual reports and other documents intended for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establishing, maintaining and evolving robust, consistent and auditable non‑financial reporting processes, including guidelines or policies as required.
  • Supporting iA’s positioning with ESG rating agencies, ensuring that their assessments accurately reflect the organization’s performance and practices.
  • Reviewing and advising internal partners regarding voluntary or mandatory reports, as well as certain sustainability certifications.
  • Contributing to the drafting of strategic documents and communications for senior management, the Board of Directors and other key audiences.

Advisory, support and training

You will support the organization in the concrete, consistent and credible integration of ESG best practices by:

  • Advising the business on complex ESG issues, emerging regulations and growing expectations related to governance and transparency.
  • Contributing to the evolution of the organization’s sustainability policy and program.
  • Developing and delivering training sessions on key topics such as greenwashing and social washing.
  • Supporting stakeholders to strengthen best practices, encourage knowledge sharing and assist in the implementation of sustainable practices.
  • Supporting the integration of ESG criteria into strategic activities, including due diligence (M&A) and responsible procurement.

Governance

You will also contribute to strengthening the cross‑functional integration of sustainability into iA Financial Group’s governance practices and mechanisms by:

  • Collaborating on the improvement of governance practices and structures to ensure the effective and sustainable integration of ESG issues.
  • Deploying, maintaining and evolving guides, processes and policies related to sustainability, responsible investment, human rights and other key issues.
  • Providing strategic interpretation and advice, grounded in sound judgment, regarding regulatory frameworks and emerging trends.
  • Working closely with the Legal Department and other key functions to ensure alignment and robustness of adopted approaches.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Has a minimum of 8 years of experience, including 3 to 5 years in sustainability, governance or non‑financial reporting.
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding of non‑financial disclosures in a public company context.
  • Exhibits strategic thinking, strong business acumen and the ability to address complex issues with rigor and sound judgment.
  • Has excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Is bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.

Assets include:

  • A relevant professional designation or membership (law, audit, accounting).
  • Experience within a financial institution or a publicly listed company.
  • Knowledge of ESG rating agencies, sustainability certifications or assurance processes.

An advanced level of English proficiency is required, as the role involves interacting several times per week with unilingual English‑speaking partners and colleagues, and drafting or analyzing business documents, particularly with subsidiaries located in Canada and the United States.

Why you will enjoy working with us

  • A work environment where expertise, strategic influence and professional development are valued.
  • A healthy, equitable, inclusive and collaborative culture.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the sustainable performance and ESG credibility of a large‑scale organization.
  • A flexible work model that supports work‑life balance and quality of life.
