iA Financial Group is looking for a Legal Technician, Corporate Secretariat and Governance to join its team. As a Legal Technician, you will play a key role by providing technical support in corporate law, working closely with management, legal counsel and other team members.

What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Legal Technician, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
Participating in the preparation of, and post-meeting follow-ups for, meetings of the Board of Directors and Board Committees of iA Financial Group’s member companies.
Providing support to Corporate Secretaries to ensure high-quality service to the directors of iA Financial Group’s member companies.
Participating in governance best practice monitoring and in the drafting of documentation supporting the governance framework of iA Financial Group’s member companies.
Participating in the maintenance, updating, organization and filing of corporate records.
Performing various regulatory filings and tasks required under reporting issuer status.

We’re looking for someone who:
Is recognized for their rigor, learning ability and strong interest in corporate law and governance.
Stands out for their excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Demonstrates a strong ability to work under pressure, particularly during quarterly meeting preparation periods.
Is recognized for their team spirit, collaboration and willingness to share knowledge and support other legal technicians.
Has 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in legal techniques, ideally in corporate law and/or corporate secretariat (junior profiles holding a DEC with initial corporate experience are welcome).
Holds a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Legal Techniques.
Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule, particularly during meeting preparation periods.
Is proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of systems such as Diligent, TSX, SEDAR and SEDI is considered an asset.
Has an advanced level of proficiency in both English and French, as the role requires daily reading, analysis and drafting of documents in both languages, including minutes, as well as regular interaction with colleagues, board members and internal and external partners in Canada and the United States.
