Are you passionate about data and looking for your next challenge in data governance? Are you known for your leadership, communication skills, and autonomy? The Data Strategy, Governance, and Analytics department is seeking a Strategic Advisor in Data Governance to join our team and help define and implement data governance for the Group Insurance and Savings Solutions sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a data governance expert:

  • Translate the team’s vision and mission into specific objectives to establish optimal processes.
  • Define the implementation strategy and roadmap, considering the sector’s context, opportunities and needs.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to facilitate the deployment of data governance.
  • Monitor new trends in data governance.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of key data governance processes.
  • Support data governance advisors in implementing new processes.

Act as a Product Owner for the data governance team:

  • Gather data governance needs and translate them into actions.
  • Manage the product backlog continuously and draft the team’s user stories.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the governance team and business partners.
  • Coordinate efforts with various sector partners.
  • Regularly clarify and communicate the benefits of data governance.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in a data governance role.
  • Experience defining and implementing processes, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and negotiation ability.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and autonomy.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of adapting to evolving business priorities.
  • Eagerness to work in a developing role and a strong interest in building long-term foundations.
  • Bilingualism.
  • Experience in the financial and insurance sectors is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean fundamentals in a project framework is an asset.
