To maintain PPI’s exacting level of service, we are looking for a Director Advanced Sales, Advisory to join our Edmonton office.
Director Advanced Sales, Advisory - Alberta
In this role, you will be responsible for growing the High Net Worth (HNW) business with the objective of increasing production and promoting sales to support the achievement of the PPI Advisory regional sales plan by taking both a proactive and reactive approach.
You will be responsible for relationship management and responding to requests for support from active Advisors, and sales case and practice management for those Advisors aligned to them and will connect Advisors to internal resources, tools and education to enhance the Advisors’ professional success. You will work with the Vice-President, Advanced Sales - PPI Advisory, on cases, as needed and in collaboration with PPI’s HNW’s team of experts, including Advanced Marketing, Advanced Underwriting and the Planning Services teams, as well as with the Broad Market and Strategic Relationships sales teams.
Develop and maintain relationships with a small select group of key, consistently high production Advisors
Provide customized solutions for HNW cases, understanding the needs of assigned Advisors and their clients
Collaborate with PPI Advisory and PPI Broad Market teams on HNW cases, providing subject matter expertise where required and requested
Foster effective working relationships with counterparts at carriers, etc., including advanced tax and estate experts
Provide education to Advisors and Sales teams on spotting HNW opportunities
Job Knowledge / Work Experience:
8+ years of experience in life insurance marketing and sales
In-depth knowledge of life insurance policies available in the market
Knowledge and understanding of tax and estate planning strategies with life insurance (tax liability, IFA, buy/sell agreements, charitable gifting)
Knowledge and understanding of products and planning concepts available, as well as an understanding of inforce policy structure and features
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Confident and empathetic
Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics and strategies
Excellent English language skills, both oral and written due to frequent interactions with English-speaking colleagues, internal partners or clients across Canada. Speaking French is an asset
