As a Senior Risk Analytics Advisor and Team Lead, you will play a key role in quantifying the risks to which the Group is exposed, while supporting and guiding the team of advisors and analysts in their mandates.

Your role as a senior advisor will involve carrying out a variety of large‑scale mandates where your autonomy, analytical mindset, and ability to foster positive relationships will be fully utilized.

This position represents a great opportunity to showcase your skills and fully harness your potential within a caring and reliable organization. Here, people and their development are at the heart of our priorities, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and innovation.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Senior Risk Analytics Advisor and Team Lead, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Supervise projects carried out by the team of advisors and analysts.

  • Coordinate and manage the production of the annual ORSA report and the quarterly monitoring of various risk indicators.

  • Maintain the Group’s crisis simulation framework: define scenarios, shocks, and quantify financial impacts.

  • Manage relationships with the various sectors involved in risk quantification.

  • Coordinate the maintenance and improvements of the internal capital model across the Group to ensure an adequate capital level and monitor the evolution of our risk profile.

  • Support the integration of the internal capital model into decision‑making processes (e.g., pricing, mergers, and acquisitions).

  • Participate in the development and monitoring of risk measures to ensure compliance with our risk tolerance.

  • Participate in the review process for corporate policies (e.g., stress tests, ORSA).

  • Support other teams in the department in joint projects.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement.

  • Keep up with industry best practices in risk modeling and risk governance and propose ongoing improvements within the organization.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is recognized for strong expertise in actuarial modeling, risk quantification, and regulatory guidelines related to risk management and capital requirements for financial institutions.

  • Stands out for the ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and concisely, and to build strong, positive working relationships.

  • Demonstrates strong skills in analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing information to make informed recommendations, along with solid problem‑solving and modeling abilities.

  • Is known for mobilizing leadership, self‑motivation in leading teams through complex mandates involving multiple stakeholders, and talent development.

  • Has at least 8 years of experience in risk quantification and relevant actuarial work, along with an undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.

  • Has knowledge of life insurance products and capital models.

  • Holds a professional designation such as FICA, FSA, CERA, or FRM (an asset).

  • Fully embodies the values of respect, continuous improvement, service mindset, teamwork, and high performance.

  • Has an advanced level of English, as the role requires regular communication with English‑speaking colleagues.

  • Knowledge of French is considered an asset as you will be collaborating with French speaking colleagues.

Why you’ll love working with us

  • A work environment where learning and development merge with a collective pursuit of excellence.

  • A healthy, safe, fair, and inclusive environment where potential can be freely expressed and developed.

  • The opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, supported by flexibility and access to inspiring and innovative workspaces.

  • Competitive benefits: Flexible group insurance, competitive pension plan, stock purchase plan, vacation and wellness/personal development days, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, ergonomic furniture program, performance bonus, discounts on iA products, and much more!
