About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events, the Event Manager is responsible for collaborating and providing expertise (strategic, virtual, hybrid, tactical and experiential) to assist in annual goals to innovative in-person, virtual and hybrid event development, and execution. Types of events include Town Halls, Employee Celebrations, Conference, Seminars, Summits, Awards, Galas, etc.
Responsibilities include:
Capable of independently conceiving and driving event strategy - ensure innovative and strategic approach to building and designing events, constantly evolving, and leveraging new tools in following guidelines, standards, best practices & milestones
Sponsorship management
Responsible for on-time completion of all steps along the timeline / work-back schedules
Bring together key leads for event kick-off meeting driving each event through the proper process stages
Developing costs in-line with established expense ratios, managing expenses to budgets, reporting monthly on expense pacing, leading development of all timelines
Overall Event Project Management
Responsible for communicating buy-in from Senior Management / Communications Department and key leads from start to finish in all facets of event planning
Independently and proactively attending assigned events through all process stages (planning/pre-cons/ rehearsals/execution/post-mortem) – to ensure seamless end to end delivery
Developing costs in-line with established expense ratios, managing expenses to budgets, reporting monthly on expense pacing,
Create working event roles and accountabilities (collaboratively)
Planning event aspects, such as site inspections, venue, seating, dining, guest list, invitations, etc.
Document all processes & carry out e-filing
Organize creative ideation brainstorm (vision of event, look and feels, elements required)
Ongoing tracking of deliverables to proactively identify issues and solutions
Identify in advance any flags or threats to the project keeping the Senior Manager, Events
Prepare surveys and statistics for senior management to review
Ensure event content duly meets the company’s compliance guidelines
Prepare post-mortem meetings and invite stakeholders
Review event checklists to ensure timing and event standards are being followed
Keep event production leads informed and updated
Act as primary liaison with suppliers and vendors for all event related acquisition of goods and services, as well as other departments within the iA Wealth Team
Research and order iA promotional material and supplies
Perform other tasks as required
Qualifications and Management Experience
Minimum 5+ years of in-person event experience and 2+ years of virtual event experience
The ideal candidate is a problem solver who leads with positivity and a can-do attitude
Management, leadership & negotiation skills
Strategic and innovative approach to event design
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills in establishing above standard working relationships with all other divisions & team leads
Organized and detailed through planning and documentation
Ability & flexibility to travel when required
High level of adaptability and organization and strong ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office & ability to learn multiple platforms
Excellent client services approach
Ability to lead and manage several projects simultaneously
Able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Highly developed analytical mind and strong ability for solving problems
Comfortable and able to effectively facilitate discussions with internal and external stakeholder
Demonstrated leadership competencies: coaching, guiding and inspiring employees at all levels
Experience with events in investment industries a plus
Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment

Requirements:
Excellent communications skills, weightlifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work outside regular operating hours (evenings, occasional weekends & holidays)
