The mission of the Talents & Culture (TC) – Mergers, Acquisitions and Integrations (MAI) team is to offer expertise to all of iA's business units, in order to contribute to a positive onboarding experience for employees and leaders who join the team, and to have a direct impact on the unified iA team culture.

This team, entirely dedicated to MAI projects, is a strategic link with the business sectors while being an integral part of the Talent and Culture team.

As a leading member of a multidisciplinary and matrix team, the MAI HRIS Advisor will be the reference in HR systems in the context of mergers, acquisitions and corporate integrations.

More specifically, your role is:

In the due diligence phase and during the optimization of the integration processes
Be a TC systems advisor of the TC FAI practice:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of aspects of TC systems during the due diligence review of a potential acquisition;
  • Confirm the efforts required according to the strategy chosen for the project;
  • Evaluate the operational processes of integration and propose optimizations to gain efficiency and time;
  • Quantify the synergies and benefits associated with the projects;
  • Be a co-owner, write and maintain the TC FAI guide (playbook);
  • Feed the TC FAI toolbox on topics related to HR systems for continuous improvement of project efficiency;
  • Be a full member of the HR Systems Center of Excellence in order to be on the lookout for other initiatives in the business line and identify opportunities for synergies of actions.

In the integration process
Be responsible for the project management of TC FAI technology topics:

  • Actively coordinate technological work during integration activities with governance adapted to the deliverables;
  • Analyze and validate the functional aspect of the work performed by the Centers of Excellence (CoE) specialists to ensure that it corresponds to the business needs and orientations of the TC systems;
  • Coordinate conversion between systems;
  • Be proactive in identifying risks and blockers, but especially in defining the actions necessary for resolution;
  • Participate in the writing of the end-of-project report.

Knowledge

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the administration of integrated HR systems;
  • Knowledge of Workday is an asset;
  • Know and understand the entire process of implementing an HR system;
  • Experience in data conversion, testing and quality assurance;
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, system migration is an asset;
  • Knowledge of LeanKit is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of English and French, as the person will be required to communicate by e-mail and videoconference with the teams of the various French and English business lines for all of Canada and the USA on a weekly basis. Tasks in English include oral communication via videoconferencing to facilitate meetings and make presentations, as well as writing e-mails, with unilingual English-speaking partners and suppliers.
