Legal/Corporate Law/Working from home/Quebec/Montreal

Are you known for your collaborative spirit, your outstanding service and your thoroughness? Would you like to have a variety of responsibilities? In collaboration with management, legal counsel and other team members, you will provide technical support in corporate law.

Your main responsibilities, in collaboration with the other team members, will be:

  • Participate in the preparation and post-meeting follow-ups of the meetings of the Board of Directors and Board Committees of iA Financial Group's member companies in conjunction with the corporate secretaries;
  • Participate and assist the corporate secretarial team in the preparation and follow-up of continuous disclosure obligations imposed on reporting issuers such as regulatory filings on SEDAR, SEDI and the TSX site.
  • Maintain, update, organize and file the department's corporate records and databases.

In addition, you may be called upon to:

  • Provide support to corporate reorganization, merger and acquisition files by participating in the due diligence and preparation of closing documents;

What we are looking for:

  • Interest in / knowledge of corporate and commercial law
  • Organizational skills and excellent management of priorities;
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate;
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt;
  • Willingness and ability to provide quality service to partners and collaborators;
  • Autonomy;
  • Ability to question the way things are done.

You have:

  • A college diploma in paralegal techniques  
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in corporate law
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of Office software and computer skills
  • Knowledge of corporate governance (an asset)
