Reporting to the Western Regional Vice President, Sales, the VP, Sales / Wholesaler is responsible for:
Generating sales results and maintaining positive asset growth within the Vancity Credit Union network
Being proactive in engaging with the Vancity members through phone calls, virtual meetings, face-to-face meetings (if/when PHOs permit), branch meetings, manager visits, and through general correspondence
Presenting to Vancity advisors and Credit Union members on a variety of investment-related and environmental and social topics
Developing and maintaining relationships through meetings, events, and social activities with clients
Assisting Vancity advisors in helping members achieve their financial and life goals through prudent advice and practice management information sharing, along with providing service by consistently communicating updates, materials, and points of discussion
Territory / Region of Coverage: Vancity Credit Union (Vancouver)
Vancity is a values-based financial co‑operative serving the needs of its more than 534,886 member-owners and their communities in the Coast Salish and Kwakwaka'wakw territories, with 58 branches in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Victoria, Squamish and Alert Bay.
This role will have a specific focus on RI/ESG, in particular on the IA Clarington Inhance suite of funds, and the successful candidate will be demonstrably passionate about RI/ESG and other social and economic issues
The ideal candidate will have 5 - 7 years of experience in the wealth management arena, specifically within an investment wholesaler or internal wholesaler capacity
CSC and/or IFIC required, along with RIS designation
A proven history of successfully managing an advisor contact base (MFDA and IIROC)
Complete understanding and knowledge of the securities, investment and mutual fund industries and products.
In addition, the candidate must have excellent communication skills, be proactive, a self-starter, a team player, and have the ability to coach others and provide guidance along with having a value-added sales approach.
