Description

The Regional Vice-President, Sales, Savings and Retirement holds a key leadership role within the organization, overseeing a regional sales team dedicated to independent advisors’ networks in the assigned territory. The primary objective of this role is to drive business growth across all distribution channels within the region, excluding WFG and Career networks. 

Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Canada, Individual Savings and Retirement, the incumbent collaborates closely to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and growth initiatives. The Regional Vice-President will lead and support Sales Directors and Sales Associates in Savings and Retirement, fostering a cohesive team dynamic and ensuring targets are achieved consistently. 

 
More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for: 

  • Executing the sales strategy and support the region’s Savings and Retirement Sales team to meet the growth objectives with the MGA, Dedicated and National Accounts networks; 

  • Grow business and relationships in the designated region with MGA network, Dedicated and National Accounts networks; 

  • Support and manage the sales savings and Retirement Sale team in the region to be a high performing successful sale team. 

 
Qualifications and key skills: 

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in the investment/insurance industry and in the independent advisor environment;   

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance; 

  • Very good knowledge of the individual insurance/investment products; 

  • Very good understanding of the insurance and mutual fund industry in Canada; 

  • Well-developed communications and presentation skills; 

  • Ability to function well in pressure situations, flexibility and diplomacy; 

  • Ability to work independently and create opportunities to develop the business; 

  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated success in motivating and empowering team members; 
     

Extensive travel required within the assigned region. May occasionally be asked to travel within Canada.
