Role Description:
In this role, the Intern – Developer Analyst, Data Management will contribute to the implementation and evolution of corporate data solutions. They will be responsible for understanding, documenting, and tracking the organization's data solution requirements. They will also contribute to the realization of data solutions by configuring data management tools or programming data transformation components as needed.
They must ensure an understanding of business needs related to the solutions they support or develop. Additionally, they will coordinate the formalization and implementation of business rules to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance according to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build data solutions that collect data from multiple sources, enrich it, and expose it to users;
- Conduct data explorations prior to the realization of data solutions;
- Develop ETL/ELT data loading flows to integrate, transform, and expose data;
- Implement functional and integrated system test scenarios during application modifications to ensure the operational integrity of corporate data solutions, and conduct unit, functional, and regression testing;
- Support business partners during acceptance testing;
- Provide support for data solutions in production;
- Perform data extractions for the business team;
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies such as PI planning, daily Scrums, sprint planning, end-of-sprint demonstrations, etc.;
- Oversee the iterative production deployment of solutions, working with teams from different business units to establish and execute necessary tasks in a well-defined order;
- Promote the reuse of existing components, participate in the selection of software packages, services, or external components (e.g., cloud-based), and ultimately recommend internal development when required (Reuse, Buy, Build);
- Collaborate with various Business and IT stakeholders to design components that align with the company's directions, are viable, efficient, and cost-effective.
Desired Profile:
- Currently a student with a focus on Business Intelligence (BI), Artificial Intelligence, or Big Data within a certificate (AEC), college diploma (DEC), bachelor's degree (BAC), or master's in business administration or computer science;
- Seeking a fall 2025 internship that is eligible and credited for your degree;
- Basic knowledge of ETL component development and data warehousing;
- Knowledge of SQL and Python;
- Familiarity with data management tools such as Snowflake, Informatica, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Data Vault Modeling, Databricks, and Azure Machine Learning (an asset).

*Typical hiring range for this position in Vancouver is $23.00 to $30.00 CAD per hour; base salary varies according to years of study and position status (student or intern).
