Director, Advanced Sales
In this role, you will be responsible for growing the business with the objective of increasing production and promoting insurance of persons sales to support the achievement of the Mass Market and High Net Worth (HNW) regional sales plans. You will be responsible for relationship management for key identified advisors with potential in the HNW market, and for case management for Mass Market advisors who have a HNW case.
You will be responsible for proactively connecting with and responding to requests for support from active advisors, providing case consultations, and managing the sales of aligned advisors, connecting them to the internal resources, tools and education to enhance their professional success. You will work with the Regional Vice-President, Advisory Advanced Sales, on cases as needed and in collaboration with PPI’s HNW’s team of experts, as well as the Mass Market and Strategic Relationships sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with a select group of key, consistently high producing advisors.
Provide customized solutions for key Advisors, including HNW cases, understanding the needs of the advisor and their clients.
Effectively collaborate with the rest of the sales teams, providing subject matter expertise where required and requested.
Foster effective working relationships with support contacts at carriers, etc., including advanced tax and estate experts, if applicable.
Provide education to advisors and Sales teams on spotting and developing HNW opportunities.
Engage in actions that encourage, reflect and align with PPI’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments to our Advisors, their clients and our employees.
Education, Experience and Skills:
8+ years of experience in insurance of persons sales
In-depth knowledge of life insurance and living benefits policies available in the market
Insurance of persons license mandatory
CFP & CLU designations (or working towards)
TEP, FEA desired (or working towards)
Knowledge and understanding of tax and estate planning strategies with life insurance (tax liability, IFA, buy/sell agreements, charitable gifting)
Deep understanding of family and business insurance landscape, product and concept knowledge
Clear understanding of relevant PPI tools and resources
Clear and effective communicator – including verbal, written and presentation skills
Advanced level of the English and French language required as incumbent will need to perform case consultations, deliver training, attend client meetings, network and build relationships with advisors, colleagues and carriers
Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills
Organized with proven ability to focus on collaborative tasks
Adaptable with the flexibility to react quickly to advisors’ needs
Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics and strategies
