The Data Management department is seeking an Intern - Analyst, Investment Data Management and Governance to work with the team to optimize the quality of various information necessary for portfolio management.
Your future responsibilities:
- Collaborate in monitoring the health of critical data for investment processes;
- Assist analysts in implementing data quality controls at strategic points of their use;
- Collaborate in monitoring and supporting users for Power BI / Looker reports;
- Identify, document, and promote continuous improvement opportunities around data processing and quality processes;
- Enhance the documentation of data standards and procedures that align with sound governance strategies.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in progress in finance, information technology, or other related fields;
- Must complete a university-accredited internship in Fall 2025;
- Good knowledge of financial markets and different asset types;
- Knowledge of best data governance practices, particularly regarding quality;
- Advanced level of English, both spoken and written, is required due to the global scope of the markets in which investment professionals operate. Specifically, daily use of English is necessary during client interactions, team meetings, presentations, and email correspondence;
- Experience in data set extraction, creating data analysis reports, and effectively communicating results;
- High rigor, proactivity, autonomy, and excellent team spirit;
- Programming experience in SQL (required);
- Programming experience with tools such as Python (an asset);
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Google Looker, or equivalent (an asset);
- Progress towards obtaining the CFA designation (an asset).
