Data Analyst / Application Developer / Co-op Internship / Hybrid: 3 to 4 days a week in office / Toronto / 37,5 hours weekly / Starting in September 2025

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Intern to join our trading team as a Data Analyst/Application Developer. This role will focus on building processes and software to collect financial data and analytics to support our trading strategies and decision-making processes. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic trading environment and contribute to the development of data-driven insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage new and existing internal software tools to store, collect, process, display and output financial data.
  • Work with, adapt to and comprehend many different forms of data input and collection.
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to trading activities.
  • Develop and maintain data models and dashboards to monitor trading performance.
  • Collaborate with traders to build, test and implement software that enhances their trading abilities with data-driven tools.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to the trading team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Must complete a university-accredited internship in Fall 2025.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, pandas, SQL)
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, MS SQL Server).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience building software applications from scratch with proper software architecture.
  • Experience in Bloomberg, VBA (an asset).
