Our Client Financial Agreements team is looking for an accounting technician to handle various accounting operations and financial transactions for our group insurance clients.
Your duties will include:
- Producing monthly analysis data extractions for client reports
- Producing monthly accounting reconciliations
- Participating in month-end and year-end work
- Participating in invoice production and deposits for administrative services only (ASO) plans
- Making deposits and withdrawals for clients
- Producing monthly accounting and adjustment entries
- Maintaining the information in our databases
- Helping to improve task-related processes and their documentation
Desired profile and requirements:
- Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in accounting and management, administration, insurance and financial services or any other related field (bachelor’s degree is an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Access)
- Organization skills and close attention to detail
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, work under pressure (meet deadlines) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for daily interaction with internal and external French- and English-speaking partners and clients (60% of whom speak only English) across Canada as well as the need to read, understand and analyze documents in both French and English
- Knowledge of group insurance (asset)
