Our Client Financial Agreements team is looking for an accounting technician to handle various accounting operations and financial transactions for our group insurance clients.

Your duties will include:

  • Producing monthly analysis data extractions for client reports
  • Producing monthly accounting reconciliations
  • Participating in month-end and year-end work
  • Participating in invoice production and deposits for administrative services only (ASO) plans
  • Making deposits and withdrawals for clients
  • Producing monthly accounting and adjustment entries
  • Maintaining the information in our databases
  • Helping to improve task-related processes and their documentation

Desired profile and requirements:

  • Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in accounting and management, administration, insurance and financial services or any other related field (bachelor’s degree is an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Access)
  • Organization skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work under pressure (meet deadlines) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for daily interaction with internal and external French- and English-speaking partners and clients (60% of whom speak only English) across Canada as well as the need to read, understand and analyze documents in both French and English
  • Knowledge of group insurance (asset)
