About the role:

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily management of the team's workload, implement LEAN principles, eliminate blockers, and coordinate and mobilize the team to aligned with the priorities and vision of the organization. Recognized for leadership and knowledge, the successful candidate will foster a collaborative and positive work environment for the success of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily workload management and monitoring key performance indicators; prioritization, and cross training for efficiency to meet the established SLA.

  • Creating processes, standards, and metrics for tasks and working with staff to achieve agreed upon metrics.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and productivity within the team utilizing LEAN methodology. 

  • Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding process.

  • Plan and supervise the training of new team members.

  • Coaching of employees; fostering open communication within the team to share progress, issues, and changes. Encourage team participation and include the team in changes and training.

  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations for team members, monitor performance metrics, and provide feedback and coaching.

  • Effectively manage escalations, issues, complaints as they arise using each occasion as an opportunity to build closer ties and exceed expectations with head office and advisors.

  • Lead the DMS (Daily Management System Meetings with the team).

  • Working closely with the Director on Team management, metrics, efficiencies, and strategic objectives.

  • Lead and participate in special projects as needed.

Profile :

  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in administration or in a relevant discipline.

  • 5 plus years of relevant experience in a CIRO dealership.

  • Previous experience in supervising, directing and mentoring staff.

  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills and ability to work in a team environment and promote team spirit in order to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Data management and analysis: Proficient with Excel and ability to comprehend technical data and communicate in simple terms.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work and the work of others.

  • Mandatory availability in office during Team moments.

  • An advanced level of knowledge of the English and French language is required for daily communication (written and oral) with external clients, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and advisors in Canada. It is important to note that more than 50% of these communications will be conducted in English.

  • Canada Investment Funds/CSC and / or Operations (IFIC) Course or greater.  

  • Travel maybe required.
