Investia is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join its IT Solution Delivery and Digital Experience team. In this role, you will be playing a critical role in enabling innovation, by working with IT and business partners to modernize our ecosystem of applications and ultimately improve platforms and services for our client and advisor network. We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong communication skills that is comfortable managing multiple priorities and eager to help us transform our systems and tools for the future.
Responsibilities
Translate requirements into solutions and ensure deliveries according to design for all aspects (architecture lead):
System – functional and non-functional requirements, development, component selection and reuse, integration;
Technological – non-functional and technical requirements, use of new design approaches (e.g. cloud computing, mobile), security, performance, availability;
Organizational – processes, change management, requirements (functional specifications), legal and regulatory obligations
Provide multidisciplinary leadership within the solution delivery team (designers, analysts, developers, etc.) and involved collaborators, including external providersContribute to the success of the project, including acting to facilitate the management of timeline, scope, and budget.
Guarantee the integrity and quality of the solution – from design to delivery (end-to-end) – including through oversight during execution and validation of the requirements based on test results
Provide coaching to junior team members on best practices, modern ways of working and latest trends in technology
Provide leadership in the governance of solution reviews and suggest, review, and approve architecture-related decisions in compliance with corporate guardrails.
Guarantee alignment and the integration of the solution in the ecosystems in order to mitigate potential issues and, when likely or inevitable, propose pragmatic alternative solutions.
Maintain the traceability of architectural decisions, certify the technical project documentation, and verify the updating of the permanent documentation related to the work.
With the support of the enterprise architecture team, in order to maintain corporate alignment, participate in the evolution and ensure compliance of: prescriptive guidelines on enterprise guardrails, processes, the use of standardized tools, standards and other vetted architectural methods. As needed, submit waiver requests for exceptions.
Be responsible for the application within the enterprise repository in order to ensure it is updated and guarantee the accuracy of the information about the applications and technologies under your responsibility, in collaboration with the application portfolio manager.
Remain aware of architecture trends that respect the organization’s standards.
Desired profile:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, administrative data processing, information systems, computer or software engineering, mathematics, or other relevant training at the same level.
Twelve (12) years of experience in information technology and a minimum of seven (7) years as an IT architecture professional in various large-scale projects and organizations.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams made up of internal and external resources.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex notions in plain language.
Excellent negotiation skills and advanced conflict resolution skills.
High tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty, and frequent changes.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple dimensions of a complex file.
Experience in the design of applications with high-volume and high-availability.
Experience in of Agile and DevOps (Scrum/Lean) principles and an ability to apply them in a teamwork context.
Experience in the creation of complex solutions both on-premises and in the cloud
Experience in cloud, container and virtualization technologies (e.g. Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of integration strategies using enterprise applications, data integration requirements, APIs and event-drive architectures.
Understanding of various integration patterns [e.g. Pub/Sub, CQRS, Event Sourcing, etc.].
Integration languages and tools: Biztalk and Kafka, as well as Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus, which are considered assets.
Good knowledge/understanding of key strategic IT technologies.
Experience working with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), DevOps, Agile, MVP, LEAN and ITIL methodologies.
Proven knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry (asset).
·Experience in digital transformation and in managing major projects (asset).
Very good knowledge of French
Very good knowledge of english cause the business sector and part of the team is based in Toronto. The person have workshop in english, will work communicate with vendor per email and call in english and will attend meeting in english on a daily basis
