JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Head of Structured products, the Director of Securitized products/ Business Development is primarily responsible for creating a financial instrument by pooling assets together and structuring into various tranches that can be sold to investors based on their risk appetite. As Product manager/ development the candidate will also be responsible for developing new products and/or solutions, ensuring the competitiveness of existing products.

Strengthens the sales effort by working with Sales and Marketing to define competitive market requirements and identify opportunities.

As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with RVPs, Products managers, and VP Sales of different line of business, in helping to generate sales and develop new business.

  • Partner with different banks to structure protected products for distribution internally.

  • Lead by actively prospecting for new sales, as well as establishing long lasting relationships and supporting existing clients.

  • Use your in-depth knowledge of our products and the investment industry in general, along with your interpersonal skills to increase sales and retain assets.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively generate and develop new business relationships within the different lines of distribution.

  • Work closely with the head of fixed income solution to collect clients’ needs from different line of distribution and structure protected products.

  • Develop relationship with the different banks to structure white label products for internal distribution.

  • Use daily video and phone contact with clients to begin or expand on existing relationships to understand their business and client needs to provide appropriate solutions.

  • Support the Head of structured products, by promptly following up on meetings, road shows, events and webcasts.

  • Keep an archive of all the relevant information pertaining to the products, policies, procedures to support clients.

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and KPI’s.

  • Create broadcast emails with pertinent marketing and product information to advisors and share with the sales department.

  • Participate in national, regional, departmental, and project group meetings, sharing feedback and information.

  • Assist the Head of structured products, in the segmentation of the client base to define the service levels and to ensure the sales from various distribution channels and firms.

  • Assist the Head of structured products, Sales in developing a strategic business plan for the year and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales from advisors in the territory.

  • Adhere to iAC Sales practice guidelines and the iA Code of Conduct.

  • Be involved in special projects as required, will include but not limited to evening and weekend events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics (required).

  • CSC, CFA

Experience:

  • Having at least 8 years of experience with cross asset Structured products, sales and structuring

  • Flexibility to work longer hours (Territory events, etc).

  • Open to travel to attend territory events and meet clients.
