As a Senior Training and Curriculum Design Specialist at iA Private Wealth (iAPW), you will play an integral role in developing key advisor and client facing training materials. You will be responsible for all aspects related to the planning, design, development and maintenance of training programs. The successful candidate will be a seasoned learning and development professional, bringing with them a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge, as well as a passion for new technologies and training trends.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assess, design, and implement engaging training programs that are advisor and/or client facing.
- Work in collaboration with Business Implementation colleagues on training needs for various initiatives and provide guidance on training design and implementation.
- Develop written and visual training content for digital projects and other initiatives throughout iA Private Wealth.
- Work with the Director of Business Implementation and Training Development to plan for training needs.
- Provide guidance to training and curriculum design colleagues as needed.
- Maintain the content library and ensure all learning content is up to date and identify improvement opportunities as needed.
- Gather feedback from internal teams and advisors and monitor content on an ongoing basis to ensure effectiveness. Update as required to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Simplify and communicate complex messages to advisor teams utilizing all available communications methods.
- Utilize L&D background to collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts on smaller internal initiatives to assess and understand the impact of changes to key stakeholders and develop business implementation plans.
- Working closely with the trainers from the Practice Management and Training Delivery team to ensure successful delivery of live and recorded training sessions.
- Build a relationship with internal subject matter experts.
- Partner with Marketing to develop training content such as videos.
- Contribute expertise to creative brainstorming and concept development sessions.
- Collaborate with members of the Business Implementation and Training Development team on the translation of training content.
Other accountabilities include:
- Maintain the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the support teams leaders as well as the Practice Management and Training Delivery team and the Communications and Marketing teams by:
- Communicating effectively and fostering teamwork and goodwill with internal departments.
- Working collaboratively with these and other teams to understand the unique business needs of iAPW advisor teams and clients and how best to develop training content that will meet their needs.
- Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication.
- Actively participating and contributing to team meetings.
- Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of French and English due to creating training documents for internal and external clients in both languages on a daily basis.
- At least 5-8 years of training and instructional design experience, with minimum 2 years of direct experience in investment management or financial services industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex messages.
- Expert interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with all levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to apply expertise and creative thinking to address unique or ambiguous situations.
- Familiar with digital learning platforms such as Articulate Rise.
- Expert knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software.
- Proactive and highly organized, with excellent time management capabilities.
- Decisive, with effective problem-solving skills.
- Multi-tasker, flexible and able to quickly adapt to new situations.
- Results driven, able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team environment.
