Description
As Vice President, IT Service Delivery, you will be responsible for the delivery of new solutions as well as the lifecycle management of IT assets across a range of iA Financial Group business sectors. The vice-president will oversee a majority of the Group's IT solution delivery teams, working closely with their assigned IT Delivery Managers. Sectors reporting to the incumbent include Wealth Management, Investments & Dealer Services; Global Client Experience (GCX); Corporate Sectors; iA American Warranty Group (iA AWG) and American Amicable.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President Information Technology (CIO), you will be responsible for ensuring that IT investments are aligned with business ambitions, and that IT solutions deliver real value to our customers, advisors and employees, while driving continuous innovation. Implicit in this mandate is the identification and leveraging of potential synergies with the Group's recent and future acquisitions.
Your main responsibilities
- Accountable for IT service delivery across a broad range of iA Financial Group sectors.
- Develop a strategic vision of IT solution delivery aimed at producing tangible business value in the form of quantifiable benefits
- Optimize the execution of project delivery by proposing new processes or revising existing ones, promoting LEAN and Agile methodologies adapted to different delivery modes and contexts
- Supervise and guide the IT solutions delivery teams assigned to the assigned sectors, in their role as advisors for the selection and implementation of IT solutions involving the acquisition and integration of software packages, the use of shared and reusable services available within the company, and the leveraging of cloud-based offerings
- Federate IT assets and solutions across sectors to meet similar needs and oversee the ongoing assessment of technology assets to identify opportunities for optimization and upgrades to make the most of the investments made
- Implement strategies to manage IT asset obsolescence, ensuring a smooth transition to new technologies while minimizing operational impacts. This work will need to be carried out in collaboration with the asset management and information security teams to ensure that obsolete assets are retired securely and in line with corporate policies
- Encourage the development of external partnerships for greater efficiency in the delivery of solutions and their long-term use
- Provide executive leadership to team members and sector leaders by promoting and supporting iA's IT solutions directions and standardized processes, in coordination with the CIO, CTO and Project Management Office (PMO)
- Maintain ongoing, proactive communications with senior executives in the assigned business sectors
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the productivity of IT solution delivery teams, working with managers to identify and eliminate barriers, while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The incumbent is expected to propose and monitor objective performance indicators, to be developed.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a relevant discipline at the same level
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant and in-depth experience in information technology, including at least ten (10) in IT solutions delivery
- Significant experience in managing IT projects and services, preferably in the financial services or insurance sectors, with a scope or annual budget in excess of $100M
- Proven skills in managing several work teams or projects, in a matrix or highly multidisciplinary mode, as well as in managing programs with several parallel deliveries.
- An understanding of the Agile software development cycle, DevOps and Lean methodologies
- A clear understanding of issues related to IT asset lifecycle management, continuous innovation and optimization of delivery processes
- Ability to promote and support adherence to iA's IT solution corporate directions and to ensure the added value of these solutions for customers, advisors and employees
- Ability to innovate and mobilize resources in a context of change, while fostering their ongoing professional development to maintain a high level of competence and commitment
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of French and English, as the incumbent will act as a leader in the delivery of IT solutions for a majority of iA Financial Group's sectors, in Canada and the United States. In this role, the incumbent will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that practices, procedures, contracts, norms and standards comply with laws and regulations to support the Group's business activities across all business segments Exchanges will take place daily, by telephone, video meeting or e-mail
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the financial, banking and insurance sectors will be considered an important asset.
