IT Architect Consultant (Contract)
The IT Architect is responsible for architecting and implementing specific projects to provide IT solutions that meet PPI business objectives. Analyze and design IT architecture for business services, working with the Systems Engineer team and other IT areas to implement these services. Provide a deep level of technical support on demand to PPI’s IT Operations, Helpdesk and Security teams.
This is a contract position for an expected duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Lead Architect on 2025 IT ‘run’ projects, including: Windows 11, network access control, UPS refresh, Switch refresh, server software upgrades, Fax (SAAS) solution, and eSignatures, working with the Systems Engineers who will provide implementation support (horsepower).
For PPI’s Secure Messaging (EPMO) project (Advisors sending message to/from PPI, and Advisors sending messages to/from Clients) investigate, recommend, architect, implement, and document internal and external solutions.
Analyze complex business requirements, providing solutions, developing and implementing workplans using mainly Azure and some On-Prem technologies.
Ensure the production of quality documentation on new services and technologies to ensure the successful handoff to other teams who will administer and run the service.
Work with the Security and IT Operation Teams to ensure applications are performing within business defined SLAs and security contexts.
Engage in actions that encourage, reflect and align with PPI’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments to our Advisors, their clients and our employees.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent combination of other university degree and IT experience.
A minimum of seven years of IT experience and track record of working with Azure Services.
The following certifications would be considered an asset: MCSA, MCSE, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Knowledge of the design, implementation and maintenance of integrated IT systems using Agile methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of progressive technology trends.
