Are you known for your expertise in group insurance and retirement savings? Do you like to liaise between product management and IT development? Would you like to play a key role in maintaining our operational assets? This position may be for you.

iA Financial Group is continually upgrading its group insurance and retirement savings tools and processes to provide clients and employees with an engaging and enjoyable experience. Accordingly, the Group Insurance and Savings Solutions sector is looking for a Product Manager, Maintenance and Development of Operational Assets.

  • Define the vision for upgrading the sector’s operational assets (systems, tools, applications, etc.) in accordance with the business strategy and objectives
  • Collect and analyze requests to maintain or upgrade assets, assess needs, and determine added value using a minimum viable product (MVP) approach
  • In conjunction with other product managers, align existing asset-development components with modernization projects based on needs, required investments, interdependencies, and time frames
  • Manage and prioritize development items based on value-optimization while considering compliance, security, or system obsolescence requirements, and participate in product-increment (PI) planning
  • Work closely with business analysts, architects, and IT teams to design solutions
  • Keep up to date with market trends to ensure delivery of products that reflect best industry practice and innovation and meet our clients’ growing needs and requirements
  • Convey the vision to the Product Owners (POs) and check work progress regularly
  • Enable POs to prioritize their order book by involving them early in the process and supporting them in making informed decisions based on the vision, delivery target, and budget
  • Take part in communicating with internal and external stakeholders whenever required


  • University degree (business, IT, or actuarial) and 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and experience in group insurance or retirement savings
  • Knowledge of Agile and SAFe (an asset)
  • Teamwork skills, positive attitude, creativity, and strategic thinking
  • Advanced analytical skills: ability to apply judgment and influence colleagues as well as top management in resolving complex problems and making decisions
  • Ease and clarity in communicating orally and in writing
  • Self-reliant and highly organized
  • Excellent English- and French-language skills, both oral and written, due to regular interaction with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada
