The Warranty Claims Agent is responsible for administrative and customer service functions in the SAL Warranty Claims Department.

1. Administration
• Answers incoming calls, transfers callers or takes messages, greets visitors.
• Monitors and purchases office supplies and maintain office equipment with toner and paper.
• General administration including: opens and distributes mail daily; prepares outgoing mail and couriers; performs photocopying, printing and faxing.
• Processes invoices for payments
• Maintains files
• Handles other essential tasks as assigned.
2. Mechanical Warranty:
• Provides SimpliFI Help Desk support, including password resets and responding to general enquiries; partial entry of written contracts in administrative system.
3. Replacement Warranty
• Inputs contract data; perform transfers and cancellations, confirm eligibilty standards; process accounts receivable and payable; perform reconciliations; prepare analyst reports.
4. Claims
• Prepares claims when adjudicators are not available: answers overflow claim calls; inputs information into administrative system; assigns claims.
• Processes payments based on adjudicator's written authorization, reconciles and distributes the cheques.
• Prepares automated letters, based on instructions from the adjudicators.
• Reconciles credit card statements.

The call centre is open 7am – 8pm. The incumbent’s hours of work will be on a fixed 35 hour work week between these hours of operation.


• High School Diploma
• 3 to 5 years of customer service and basic accounting experience.
• Automotive industry experience would be an asset.
• Must possess a strong customer service focus and have an ability to resolve problems with customers.
• Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
• Excellent bilingual skills (French/English) a must.
• Good judgement and decision making skills.
• Strong team player and ability to work well with co-workers under pressure.
• Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.
