Join a dynamic and innovative enterprise architecture team that plays a key role in implementing the company’s strategy.  

As a member of the enterprise architecture department, the Enterprise Architecture Advisor to the CTO is a strategic advisor who develops and maintains a global view of the company’s 2030 strategic IT plan.

In this role, you will work closely with departmental enterprise architects, who provide plans drafted by our various sectors, and with the innovation team, which enriches our approaches, products and solutions. You will build on the strategic business vision outlined by senior management and will work to ensure its consistency, relevancy and feasibility. You will also identify the points of synergy between our initiatives, the right sequencing and the cross-functional needs that accelerate value delivery and advance the 2030 ambitions of both the company and IT.  

Moreover, you will use your cutting edge and innovative approaches to architecture to think outside-in, allowing us to evolve the organization in such a way that IT creates business value. 

Your responsibilities:

- Develop and communicate the global and transversal vision of enterprise architecture, considering the company’s challenges and opportunities, and market trends and best practices 

- Coordinate and consolidate the plans developed by departmental enterprise architects, ensuring that they align with and complement the company’s global vision and frameworks 

- Communicate and promote the strategic vision with internal and external stakeholders by bringing key actors together and facilitating discussion 

- Lead workshops, committees and architectural reviews for different stakeholders in order to validate, challenge and improve architectural proposals 

- Help direct and monitor the implementation of the 2030 IT strategic plan and propose adjustments based on the progress made and the evolution of business environments and technology 

- Anticipate and manage risks, opportunities and market evolution by proposing adaptation and optimization scenarios for the strategic plan 

- Promote enterprise architecture to internal and external clients by demonstrating its added value and positive impact on the company’s performance 

- Guide and support execution teams in operationally applying architectural orientations and principles 

- Participate in the continuous improvement of enterprise architecture processes, methods and tools 

Your profile:

- University degree in computer science, information technology management or other relevant training 

- At least 15 years of experience in information technology, including extensive experience as an enterprise architect or departmental enterprise architect 

- Relevant experience as a key player in a large-scale (over $100M) transformation project and/or strategic plan 

- Deep knowledge of the financial services sector and its challenges 

- Capacity to define and direct a long-term strategy, taking the needs and constraints of the company and its environment into consideration 

- Ability to effectively conceive, model and communicate complex and evolving architectures, using enterprise architecture frameworks and standards (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) 

- Ability to coordinate and unite various stakeholders around a common vision and shared goals 

- Ability to effectively influence and defend the company’s architectural strategies and directions among a diverse public 

- Ability to innovate and adapt to change and opportunities with creativity and pragmatism 

- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with French- and English-speaking partners across Canada
