We’re looking for a Real Estate Financing Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be working on projects and transactions in the Greater Montreal region.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and negotiate new mortgage applications with industry stakeholders, working closely with the Mortgage department

  • Manage an existing portfolio and business relationships, ensuring that the files submitted for approval meet the quality criteria and standards established by the Investments Committee

  • Represent the company at various business events

  • Visit the sites of projects to be financed and provide technical support to expedite the Credit Committee’s approval process.

Desired profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant university program; an MBA in real estate is an asset

  • At least 7 years of experience, including 5+ years in the field of complex project mortgage financing

  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, the real estate market, real estate appraisal techniques, and underwriting standards and policies

  • Familiarity with real estate law

  • Familiarity with Windows and excellent knowledge of Word and Excel

  • Designated Certified Appraiser (asset)

  • Experience in insured financing (CMHC) and/or bridge financing for construction projects (asset)

  • Knowledge of Atlas (asset)

  • Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal French- and English-speaking colleagues and partners across Canada

  • Skills and abilities essential to the role, including leadership, customer service, management skills, good negotiating skills, ability to analyze, synthesize and simplify complex situations and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
