To maintain PPI’s exacting level of service, we are looking for a Policy Service Assistant to join our PPI Toronto Office.
Policy Service Assistant
The primary focus of the Policy Service Assistant is to work closely with the Agency Services and Policy Service Teams at a national level to provide effective support to advisors and staff by generating policy listings and ensuring follow through on assigned cases.
Assume ownership of assigned files, including recognizing any urgencies and assisting in the resolution of problems that may prevent a request from moving through the process as quickly as possible.
Ensure PPI service standards are maintained by ensuring all requested policy listings are accurate, processed in a compliant and timely manner, and submitted to the appropriate carrier/advisor as per PPI guidelines.
Follow established processes for generating or requesting policy listings.
Relay information from insurance carriers to the servicing advisor and inform advisors of important details related to policy listings.
Respond to inquiries from servicing advisors, insurance carriers and staff.
Ensure that servicing advisors and staff are updated regularly on current status.
Follow up with insurance carriers as needed to ensure requests are processed in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities, duties and special projects as identified.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience; insurance industry or similar work environment preferred
Knowledge of life insurance terminology and products preferred
Proven accuracy, attention to detail and data entry skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and work within a team environment.
Ability to represent self, office and organization in a professional, positive manner at all times
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
Bilingualism in English and French an asset.
