Are you interested in further developing your Compliance career? We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Compliance team at iA Special Markets as a Compliance Analyst, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our risk management efforts. In this role you will assist in monitoring and reporting on compliance activities, including licensing with Insurance Councils and the implementation of internal procedures.

This role offers a hands-on introduction to the world of compliance and risk management. You’ll contribute to ensuring our division’s practices align with corporate, industry, provincial, and federal regulations—helping us maintain a strong and effective compliance framework.


What will I be doing?
 

Licensing Administration

  • Process, track, and maintain licensing applications, renewals, and documentation.

  • Monitor Insurance Council websites for regulatory updates and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

  • Respond to licensing inquiries from clients and internal teams.

  • Ensure all licensing information and reports are accurate and up to date.

Compliance & Stakeholder Support

  • Provide assistance and information to internal and corporate teams on compliance-related inquiries.

  • Support regional offices and clients/partners by clarifying compliance requirements.

  • Assist in process reviews and provide compliance input to support regulatory alignment.

Project Contribution

  • Support recurring compliance and risk management tasks and projects such as business continuity reviews, control testing, privacy incidents & complaint record monitoring.

  • Provide support for corporate compliance initiatives and other projects as assigned.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Participate in compliance reporting activities.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate compliance-related records and reports.

  • Help create and maintain compliance training materials, documentation, and reference tools.

What will I need to be successful?

Knowledge & Experience

  • Two years post-secondary school in administration, business, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services, insurance, or administrative/client service roles.

  • Knowledge of provincial licensing requirements and compliance processes (asset).

  • Experience supporting regulatory or compliance functions (asset).

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing information.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, building effective relationships across teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage and adapt to multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Analytical and research skills to gather, interpret, and summarize compliance information.

  • Clear and tactful communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to compliance tools and systems (e.g. Hopex, ParaSolution).

  • Bilingualism in French (written and spoken) would be an asset

Compensation

The typical hiring range for this position is from $60,000 and $70,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
