Are you passionate about managing
technology, data, and information security risks (TDSI)? Join a multidisciplinary team at the heart of the second line of defense at iA Financial Group, where your expertise will help support business partners and monitor TDSI risks, including those related to artificial intelligence and data governance.

As a Senior Advisor, TDSI Risks, you will play a strategic role in critical risk reviews, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk appetite and tolerance. You’ll be supported by a specialized methodology team in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and human development.

What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Senior Advisor, TDSI Risks, you’ll be central to our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Advising business sectors and support functions in developing, communicating, and promoting the TDSI Risk Management framework and policies across the Group

  • Advising on the development of annual monitoring programs for TDSI Risk Management

  • Promoting and explaining the three lines of defense model and its interactions to business lines and support functions

  • Communicating expectations regarding TDSI Risk Management as outlined in policies and other governance documents

  • Negotiating and influencing the adoption of second-line expectations by business lines and support functions

  • Supporting the first line of defense in adopting tools and methodologies required for TDSI risk assessments

  • Critically reviewing TDSI risk assessments conducted by the first line by:
    Confirming identified TDSI risks Validating controls identified to mitigate TDSI risks

  • Contributing to the organization’s TDSI Risk Profile for the Chief Risk Officer and Board committees

  • Promoting a strong risk culture through your expertise and quality interactions with the first line

  • Monitoring emerging TDSI risks and identifying those most significant to the Group

  • Keeping watch on market mitigation measures

  • Demonstrating rigor in following established processes and indicators supporting operational performance in TDSI Risk Monitoring

  • Contributing to knowledge development, expertise, and continuous performance improvement in TDSI Risk Management across the Group

What could accelerate your success in this role
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is known for analytical skills, tactical thinking, and information synthesis

  • Excels in providing advice, active listening, and strong verbal and written communication

  • Has expertise in data-related risk management, especially in tech environments involving AI and advanced analytics

  • Has experience in risk management, compliance, and auditing in technology, data, or cybersecurity

  • Has over 10 years of experience in advisory and audit roles, ideally in financial services or insurance

  • Holds one or more certifications in technology, data, or information security (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, GSMA, CSRM, COBIT, ITIL, CDMP, DCAM) – major asset

  • Has advanced French proficiency, as the role involves weekly oral and written communication with internal French-speaking partners in Canada and the U.S.
