What is My Client Space?
My Client Space is a secure website. That means that the content and information that it contains and transmits are protected and that access to it is controlled. That's why only authorized clients of iA Financial Group (Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc.) have access to it, using a personalized and confidential username and password.
The data transmitted between the user and iA Financial Group within My Client Space is encrypted before being sent across the Internet. Only iA Financial Group and the user's browser hold the shared key so that only they can decrypt each other's messages.
For your own security, we recommend using the latest version of your browser to access our online system.
My Client Space is a quick and easy way to access information. It has varied, personalized content that is easily accessible from any computer with an Internet connection, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What can I do on the My Client Space site? How is it useful to me?
My Client Space allows you to access up-to-date information and print documents. It is also a fast and efficient tool whose content is constantly being improved.
How can I access My Client Space?
If you already have a username and a password, you may connect to My Client Space and consult your information.
Otherwise, you must first create an account. Once your account is created, you will be able to connect to My Client Space.
How do I choose my password?
Your password MUST:
- contain between 8 and 63 characters
- contain at least three of the four following types of characters: lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers and special characters (e.g. $, %, @, !)
- be different than your username
- be different than your last five passwords
Your password MUST NOT:
- contain more than three of the same characters (e.g. 1111, AAAA)
- contain more than three consecutive characters (e.g. 1234, ABCD)
- begin or end with a space
Your password will be checked against your profile information, a list of compromised passwords and a list of restricted words. For example, "P@ssw0rd" would be refused because it is included in a list of compromised passwords. A password including the word "Investment" would be refused because is it related to our line of business. Also, a password containing your first name or your email would be refused because it would be too easy to guess.
Pay special attention when using the following letters and numbers: “I-i” and “L-l”, “O-o” and “0”. These are easy to mix up when entering your username and password.
How do I improve the security of my personal information?
You are responsible for using and storing your My Client Space username and password. This means it is up to you to keep your personal information secure. Here are some tips to help improve the security of your information:
- Never disclose your username, your password, your secret questions, or your answers.
- If you write down your username, password, secret questions and answers, don't write them all together and keep them in a safe place.
- When choosing your password, secret questions and answers, make sure they are easy to remember, but that no one will be able to guess them.
- If your computer is stolen, have your enrolment deactivated by contacting the Internet Help Desk at 1-866-383-3306. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What should I do if I forget my password?
You can request a new password online by clicking on the “Forgotten password?” link, located on the My Client Space login page. You will need to enter your username and answer a few questions. This will allow us to verify your identity and help us protect the confidentiality of your information. If we are able to identify you correctly, you will be able to access My Client Space again right away. Otherwise, you will need to contact the Internet Help Desk at 1-866-383-3306. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What can I do if I do not receive the email containing the verification code needed to recover my password?
1. Make sure you use the correct email address. Note that it may differ from your username.
2. Check your spam folder.
3. Check your other inboxes.
4. Retry the password recovery process.
5. Contact Customer Service, at the number provided in the Technical Support section.
Do I need to read the terms of use and agree to them before I can access My Client Space?
Yes. The terms of use set out the conditions that apply to transactions made using My Client Space. Therefore, it is important that you read them carefully. The terms of use will appear once you have chosen your new password. By clicking on the "I agree" button, you agree to be bound by the terms of use, which then allows you to access My Client Space.
