Analyst, PA Drugs

Location: Montreal or Toronto would be preferred but open to rest of Canada Working Conditions: Hybrid - working from home and coming into office for key moments Status: Temporary one year contract

Our national GBRS Health and Dental Claims team is currently looking for a resource specialized in the pharmaceutical expertise of Prior Authorization Drugs and who knows how to put the customer at the center of their attention.

Please note that this is for a one year contract with a possibility for extension

As part of this role, you will be required to:

• Analyze and process drug requests requiring pre-authorization, requests for original drugs and requests for Exception patients (Quebec). To do this, you will need to collect the required information and determine whether the request is admissible according to the diagnosis and established criteria.

• Communicate, verbally or in writing, with members and providers (pharmacists, medical clinics, hospitals), as well as with our internal Clinical Team, and provide superior service at all times.

• Question yourself and ensure that the reference tools are up to date and report any irregularities in order to promote the rapid resolution of future evaluations.

• Stay up to date and knowledgeable about new medications, biosimilar strategies, and various provincial plans.

• Adopt best practices, be flexible and available. Work as a team to ensure optimal performance at all times and encourage continuous improvement.

• Be willing to perform any other tasks required to contribute to the achievement of the team's objectives and continue your development through continuing training.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college;

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience;

• Medical and pharmaceutical knowledge;

• Advanced knowledge of French and English, as you will be handling a large number of claims for both French and English-speaking clients. You will assess claim eligibility as well as provide updates to our clients. In addition, you will collaborate in French and English, orally and in writing, several times a day with other team members and medical providers who may be unilingual French speakers.
