To maintain PPI’s exacting level of service, we are looking for a Business Development Associate, Wealth – Eastern Canada to join our Montreal or Quebec office. 

Business Development Associate, Wealth – Eastern Canada

The Business Development Associate, Wealth works closely with the Directors, Business Development, Wealth in supporting advisors and assisting in the development and delivery of investment product materials and programs to support wealth sales team objectives and initiatives. 

The Business Development Associate, Wealth is also responsible for ensuring the achievement of identified Investment objectives and targets through the provision of support to the Directors, Business Development, Wealth and by addressing advisor inquiries and requests as they relate to PPI’s investments products and services. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the national resource to staff and advisors for queries related to investment products and sales.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of product materials and sales concepts for sales staff and advisors regarding the unique features of segregated funds, their applicability in specific markets and their investment features.

  • Provide support to the Directors, Business Development, Wealth in the management of their regional advisors and their sales plans and initiatives.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of product materials for sales staff and advisors regarding the Private Wealth Management referral platform and PPI Valet roboadvice platform.

  • Maintain a high degree of industry and product knowledge, understanding the competitive market, and remaining current on industry trends and initiatives.

  • Develop relationships and rapport with advisors through effective communication.

  • Effectively resolve issues and/or complaints from advisors as they pertain to investment sales.

  • Manage and maintain reports for the Wealth Sales Team.

  • Additional responsibilities and special projects as identified and assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Must be fluently bilingual (both oral and written) in French and English

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related capacity within the investment industry

  • Appropriate industry designations desired

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of marketplace products and competition within the investments industry

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, applying business knowledge and sound judgement to make appropriate recommendations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with advisors while applying compliance program principles such as Code of Conduct, complaint handling and advisor business practice review

  • Demonstrated ability to work within and promote a team-based environment

  • Creative problem solver with highly developed critical thinking skills

  • Superior organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Proven accuracy, attention to detail and data entry skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to represent self, office and organization in a professional, positive manner at all times

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
