You will be responsible for organizing, processing, and distributing large volumes of work accurately, and in a timely manner so that the team can meet their daily processing objectives.

What will I Be Doing?

  • Process premiums and update Credit Card and EFT information for Individually Billed accounts.

  • Verify correct premium rates/provincial breakdown and process premiums for Non-Billed and Broker Payment on Accounts

  • Preparing all financial team documents for imaging by reviewing and confirming document coding and creating applicable bar-coded index sheets

  • Send files to off site storage by entering document coding information onto the Iron Mountain online system and creating coded index sheets.

  • Open, stamp, sort, investigate and distribute cheques regularly throughout the day.

  • Responsible for all mail and fax correspondence including distributing, reviewing and following up

  • Monitor and manage the Financial Inbox and distribute/forward/print e-mails accordingly.

  • Review, Distribute and File daily/monthly/quarterly and annual system generated and requested reports.

  • Review, match and mail Monthly Broker Commission Statements, Statement of Charges and Cheques

  • Create, update and maintain applicant files and send eligibility confirmation communication as required.

  • Request and manage Attending Physician Statements as directed by Underwriting utilizing the paramedical company systems and communicate to client.

What we are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma – business/accounting option preferred.

  • Computer literacy (PC and mainframe) including MS Office Suite and 50+ wpm typing.

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to multitask and prioritize.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience, preferably in an accounting related environment

Compensation:

The typical hiring range for this position would be between $40,000 to $50,000  annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
