This contest is presented by iA Financial Group and is open to career and brokerage advisors affiliated with its subsidiaries iA Individual Insurance as well as the Savings and Retirement and Investia business lines.
1. Contest
The contest (the “Contest”) is held by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (the “Contest Organizer”). The Contest takes place in Canada from July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
The Contest is open to advisors affiliated with iA Financial Group, including:
- Career advisors (employees of iA Financial Group or its participating subsidiaries);
- Advisors affiliated with a brokerage firm under an active contractual relationship with the Contest Organizer.
One (1) prize will be awarded for the following Contest Period:
— July 1 to September 30, 2025
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to all advisors, whether career or brokerage, who:
- have an active contractual relationship with the Contest Organizer or one of its participating subsidiaries;
- are in good standing with regulatory compliance requirements;
- are listed as the designated advisor for a client in the Contest Organizer’s internal systems at the time of the client’s eligible participation.
3. How to enter
Participation in the Contest is automatic when a client assigned to an eligible advisor logs into their secure client space or iA mobile app and is subsequently selected as a winner in a related client draw.
If a client is selected as a winner through valid participation in a digital adoption contest held by the Contest Organizer, the advisor listed as responsible for that client in the Contest Organizer’s internal systems at the time of the eligible entry becomes automatically eligible for the Prize awarded under this Contest.
This is a quarterly Contest. The following Contest Period applies:
- July 1 to September 30, 2025
4. Consent to the use of personal information
By entering the Contest, the Entrant authorizes the Contest Organizer to collect and use their full name, email address, city, postal code, and telephone number, and if applicable, to share this information with a third-party service provider for the purposes of conducting the draw and awarding the Prize.
For more information, please refer to the Privacy Notice: ia.ca/privacy-policy.
5. Prize
One (1) prize valued at $5,000 CAD (the “Prize”) will be awarded during the Contest Period.
The Prize will be awarded in the form of a $5,000 travel gift card, subject to the terms and conditions of the issuing provider. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged, refunded, redeemed for cash, or transferred to another person.
The Prize is awarded to the advisor assigned to the winning client in the Contest Organizer’s internal systems at the time of the client’s eligible participation. The advisor-client relationship must be active and verifiable at the time of validation.
The winner may be required to provide proof of identity or of affiliation with the Contest Organizer’s distribution network and must meet all conditions outlined in these Contest Rules to receive the Prize.
If the Prize is refused, the winner is deemed ineligible, or if the winner cannot be reached within the prescribed time frame, another eligible advisor may be selected in accordance with Article 6.
6. Draw
The draw will be conducted by a designated official on the first Tuesday following the end of the Contest Period, at the Contest Organizer’s head office located at 1080 Grande Allée West, Quebec City, Quebec G1K 7M3, under the supervision of a member of a professional order employed or mandated by the Contest Organizer.
The winning advisor will be identified following the selection of a winning client in a related client contest. The winner will be the advisor listed as responsible for that client in the Contest Organizer’s systems at the time of the client’s eligible participation.
The draw may also be held virtually via the Contest Organizer’s Microsoft Teams platform if circumstances prevent the draw from taking place in person at head office.
7. Odds of winning
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible client entries assigned to the advisor during the Contest Period.
8. Claiming the Prize
The Contest Organizer will contact the winning advisor by email or telephone to arrange a meeting to award the Prize.
To be declared the winner, the advisor whose name was identified must correctly answer a skill-testing mathematical question, without assistance and within the required time, either by telephone or during a virtual meeting, at a time agreed upon with the Contest Organizer.
If the advisor cannot be reached within two (2) weeks following the contact attempt or fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly, they will forfeit the Prize. In such case, a new draw may be conducted, or the Prize may be cancelled at the Contest Organizer’s discretion.
The Prize will be awarded to the winner as follows:
- In the form of a travel gift card presented during a physical or virtual meeting with a representative of the Contest Organizer.
9. Decisions and disputes
All decisions made by those responsible for administering the Contest are final.
10. Contest modifications
The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, should any event, fraud, human error, deliberate act, or other situation beyond its control occur that may affect the administration, fairness, or integrity of the Contest as outlined in these rules.
In all such cases, the Contest Organizer, its subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, service providers, employees, agents, and representatives shall not be held liable for awarding a Prize other than as described in these rules, or if circumstances beyond their control prevent the continuation of the Contest as planned.
11. Prize acceptance and substitution
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged for cash, in whole or in part.
However, if for reasons beyond its control and unrelated to the advisor, the Contest Organizer is unable to award the Prize as described, it reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal value and nature, or the cash equivalent.
12. Limitation of liability
Advisors confirm their acceptance of these Contest Rules and release Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc., its subsidiaries, employees, representatives, and agents from any financial, tax, administrative, or personal consequences, as well as from any damages, loss, or injury arising from participation in the Contest, the awarding or use of the Prize, or the refusal or failure to receive the Prize.
