Description
Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the Extended Warranty Specialist is responsible for maximizing the performance of this product to assigned dealers. He or she supports his clients in various ways to optimize their performances and maintains excellent business relationships.
This position would be based in either Regina or Saskatoon and would cover the Manitoba and Saskatchewan territory
Responsibilities:
SPP product supervision
Carefully prepare each visit to the dealers in advance:
Obtain and analyze sales numbers entered in UniFI to identify gaps (positive or negative) and dealer needs for interventions
Review last visit report to ensure consistency between visits
Provide the client with appropriate reports to establish the action plan for the meeting
Discuss the needs of those responsible for the sale of SPP product with Consultant and / or Trainer
Visit retailers on a frequency that suits to their needs:
Train those responsible for the sale of SPP product
Meet with client (owner or general manager) to follow-up on actions undertaken
Meet with managers to verify if they have specific requirements that need to be addressed
Provide individual or group training at the dealership to those responsible for the sale of SPP product:
Manage programs, promotions and contests
Attend dealers’ set-up:
Assess the dealership’s situation per various criteria such as the needs and preferences of the retailer, the internal operating mode, existing plans, people responsible for selling the product, etc.
Identify the appropriate plan and present it to the dealer
Determine, in collaboration with the retailer, the marketing details (fixed or variable prices, sold by which resources, etc.)
Visit dealership one week after the set-up to support and proceed with corrective measures if necessary
Sales and representation
Maintain plans offered up-to-date:
Assess the adequacy between the types of vehicles sold and the plans in force
Suggest plan changes if necessary
Offer excellent customer service:
Respond quickly to inquiries from clients (or employees)
Address issues as they arise and/or refer the situation to National Sales Manager Warranty Products Provide support for any outstanding claim problems
Etc.
Stay ahead of the changes and activities in the market:
Forward all pertinent competitor’s offerings or threat from the competition to people concerned
Inform involved managers on competitors’ activities and developments
Obtain all documents related to competitors
Deny information when necessary
Make accurate comparison when necessary
Attend all assigned meetings and pertinent social events
Promote the development of new clients and contribute to business development efforts, when required
Internal administration
Work cooperatively with all iA Dealer Services stakeholders to constantly provide high quality service
Prepare reports required by the Company
Actively attend all blitz organized by the Company
What we are Looking For:
Deep understanding of SPP product and plans distributed by iA Dealer services, manufacturers, and competition
Extensive knowledge of the Cornerstone warranty distributed by iA, Dealer services (Quebec only)
Knowledge of systems used by retailers (UniFI, Dealertrack, Equifax, etc.)
Extensive knowledge of the market and operations of a business office
Knowledge of the functioning of a dealership
Sense of priorities, well organized and ability to plan
Ability to transfer knowledge and skills in an educational way
