JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Training Manager, the trainer is responsible for increasing the performance of Financial Service Managers through the training provided, individually or in groups and by using our Lean method. The trainer also ensures successful workplace integration of new Financial Service Managers.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES

Individual training

  • Properly prepare visits:

    • Obtain and analyze sales numbers entered in UniFI to identify FSM development needs

    • Discuss the FSM requirements according to PACT/Lean and retailer’s objectives with Consultant

  • Dealership visits:

    • Develop trustworthy relationships with FSM to facilitate training

    • Provide FSM with individual training (iA products and manufacturers, compliance, sales techniques, non-met clients, credit refusal, etc.) according to their needs and retailers’ priorities

    • Use various methods (attend meetings with clients, listen to recordings, role-playing, etc.) to identify FSM’s areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback

    • Use professional, challenging, varied and tailored methods during your interventions

    • Promote the use of corporate tools and systems

  • Dealership visits follow-up:

    • Update visit report in Salesforce and send a copy to all parties involved.

    • Conduct more specific follow-ups (phone calls, emails, performance analysis) for targeted accounts, based on the goals identified

    • Stay ahead of the changes and activities in the market and forward all pertinent information to Training Manager

Training

  • Provide classroom/virtual training using iA, Dealer services material:

    • Conduct training in a professional, challenging and varied way and adapted to the needs of participants

    • Keep participants interested and engaged throughout the training

    • Ensure broad understanding of the provided information

    • Demonstrate active listening to support participants

    • APEX candidates’ skills assessment for future reference

  • Comply with the standards set to conserve a consistency in the teaching methods:

    • Follow the order of contents to be taught

    • Promote the use of corporate tools

  • Actively attend iA Dealer Services development activities and/or workshops designed to improve our training

Requirements

  • Knowledge of systems used by retailers (UniFI, UniFi 2.0, Dealertrack, Equifax, etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge of the market and operations of a business office 

  • Knowledge of the functioning of a dealership

  • Knowledge of financial institutions (credit application, credit refusal, etc.)

  • Knowledge of the regulations and legislation in force in the industry

  • Ability to perform the duties of the FSM (keep knowledge and skills up-to-date)

  • Ability to use relevant software applications

  • Ability to transfer knowledge and skills in an educational way, in a one-on-one or group setting

  • Ability to deliver a group training session
