Description
The role works very closely with the Manager, Transitions, and assists with many of the key accountabilities of the Business Transitions and Support team. These include, but are not limited to, provide support for New Advisor Onboarding, Sales of Book, Platform Migrations, Advisor retirements or departures, new 30/90-day licensing, Pre-screening, Registration and Training Requirements, as well as administration of the advisor group benefits plan. From time to time, there also will be ad-hoc projects that need to be completed, often within a very limited timeframe. Some travel may be required to visit with the Advisors and their teams at their place of business.
Your Day to Day
- Follow established Transition Team work flows: New Advisor Onboarding, Sales of Book, Platform Migrations, Advisor retirements or departures, new 30/90-day licensing.
- Act as the administrator for the advisor group benefits plan, working with our benefits partner to onboard, make changes to existing plans, and process departure requests in a timely manner, as well as liaising with the benefits provider to answer any advisor questions. Also working with the Remunerations team to ensure that invoices are processed correctly.
- Proactively monitor, provide coverage, and troubleshoot incoming calls and issues from the Transitions team inbox and telephone line.
- Collaborate with the Director, Business Transitions and Support to provide Advisors with preliminary and ongoing Operational training.
- Visit branch locations to provide support on IAPW paperwork and systems.
- Have in-depth knowledge of internal department functions and work flow
- Work collaboratively with Branch Managers and Regional Vice-Presidents to understand the unique business needs of each Advisor.
- Providing timely feedback on Transition progress to Senior Management
- Ensuring Transition Team SLAs and standards of communication are adhered to.

What You Have
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial service industry, with a strong client-service or advisor-service focus.
- Ability to deal with ongoing aggressive deadlines and to meet theses deadlines within established time frames, with little control over the volume of work.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Ability to establish and manage timelines and workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for both internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to take on new projects and tasks.
- Eagerness to learn about the Financial, Investment Services Industry.
- Positive, no challenge too big, attitude.
- oral communication in both English and French.
- Experience with NBIN systems and policies is an asset.
- Experience working with group benefits is an asset.
- Enrollment or completion of the CSC or CPH is an asset.
