Description

The Vice-President Talent & Culture Programs, Systems and Analytics will oversee a broad range of human resources functions and develop strategies while implementing programs that inspire, motivate and support our employees.   This role will be responsible for overseeing and leading the following teams: Total Rewards, HR Analytics, Information Systems, Mergers Acquisitions and Integrations, and Strategy, Governance & Performance.  The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in HR and people leadership and will be able to take a strategic, data-driven approach to human resource management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective compensation, group benefits, retirement and incentive programs that align with the company's overall goals and support our employees. 
  • Develop, interpret and implement policies and procedures to further the company's goals with a data-driven mindset.
  • Oversee the Talent & Culture analytics team in collecting and analyzing talent data to drive insights and decisions across the organization.
  • Oversee the HRIS team in ensuring the company's HR systems are up-to-date and optimized for efficiency and effectiveness and aligned to supporting our strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the mergers acquisitions and integrations team which leads our due diligence and integration efforts relating to Talent & Culture programs and practices
  • Oversee the Strategy, Governance and Performance team which supports our function in developing and executing on our VPTC strategy and measuring our performance over time
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and maintain best-in-class governance practices.
  • Work closely with the VPTC leadership team to continuously evolve our employee experience by optimizing our employee value proposition cost-effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Actuarial Sciences, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in HR, with a strong focus on compensation, group benefits, pension, analytics, HR technology, mergers acquisitions and integrations, and HR governance.   The ideal candidate has both Canadian and US experience.
  • Proven track record of strategically leading large HR teams to deliver best-in-class HR services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation across the HR function.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
