iA Financial Group is looking for a Senior IT Portfolio Manager for the Individual team. Reporting to the Portfolio Management Office, you will work on a daily basis with the sector's business and IT teams and managers. You will be called upon to bring the governance of the sector's project portfolio to life by facilitating quarterly prioritization meetings as well as the various strategic ceremonies related to investments of several tens of millions of dollars.
Your main responsibilities:
Take charge of and facilitate, on a regular basis, the strategic portfolio management ceremonies (strategic squad, portfolio review, prioritization meetings, etc.) allowing for the creation and updating of a request book as well as a roadmap for the Individual sector within the agreed parameters (e.g. budget, schedule, scope, expected value).
Facilitate practice meetings such as "RTE Synch" and "PM Synch" (ref. SAFe® framework)
Prepare communications and maintain required tools to support the prioritization process providing transparency and clarity on the sector's strategic priorities.
In close collaboration with the IT performance analysts, assist managers in the preparation of budgets, strategic business cases and Lean Business Cases and in the implementation of required follow-up mechanisms.
Actively collaborate in the request management process from the initiation of the request to the verification of benefits. This process includes all forms of requests, often of a varied nature such as: strategic initiatives, continuous improvement requests, support requests, as well as ad hoc requests not supported by established processes.
Maintain alignment between the strategic planning of the business and the execution of projects to ensure that the work performed in the delivery teams has a positive impact on the strategic objectives of the organization.
Regularly collaborate with all portfolio stakeholders -- both Business and IT -- to resolve prioritization conflicts, identify potential discrepancies with the proposed roadmap, and assist in the development of contingency plans.
Represent the Individual in various planning and prioritization forums and participate in multi-sector tables.
Ensure portfolio compliance with standards established by the IT Portfolio Management Office.
Collaborate on a regular basis with other Portfolio Analysts to maintain a global roadmap and backlog of requests including those from iA Group corporate areas.
In collaboration with the Performance & Governance team, participate in the establishment of metrics that will track trends in the delivery of IT services and solutions.
DEC or BAC in Computer Science, Administration or other relevant education at the same level with a minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of project management. Any knowledge of portfolio management will be considered an asset.
Proficiency in large-scale agile, specifically the SAFe® framework (strong asset)
Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, conflict management and decision making skills
Ability to interact with and influence senior management and various key business unit stakeholders in their decision making process, regardless of their reporting levels
Ability to manage conflicting priorities in an effective and collaborative manner
Strong tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
Proven autonomy and ability to find pragmatic solutions to complex problems
Advanced English language skills, both oral and written (bilingualism will be considered an asset)
Knowledge of the financial and insurance industry (asset)
