We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Relationship Manager, Affinity & Voluntary Products to join our close-knit team. This position plays a key role in maintaining excellent service levels for our Affinity clients, as well as working with our sales and marketing teams to help promote our voluntary suite of products.

Working closely with our Associate Sales Director, Affinity Markets, the Client Relationship Manager is responsible for providing a high level of prompt, professional and quality service to our policyholders, insureds and brokers.  Our ideal candidate will be bilingual and have strong, client facing, interpersonal skills, which they will utilize to support the acquisition of new, as well as the development and management of existing, client relationships.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the experience of our Affinity clients to ensure all needs are successfully supported through each phase of the renewal, new business, and implementation lifecycle, as well as marketing initiatives. This includes initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing while keeping the clients’ needs at the center, as well as HQ guidelines

  • Manage daily requests from Affinity clients or brokers which are related to HQ Teams

  • Establish new, and maintain existing Affinity client relationships by cultivating open and positive dialogue by meeting in-person regularly, delivering high quality client service

  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with market intermediaries and clients

  • Support sales initiatives to help generate new business including new client acquisition, as well as enhancements for existing clients in collaboration with the Regional sales offices, as needed

  • Monitor the competitive environment by gathering input on market pricing, products, services, activities, etc

  • Prepare reports on Affinity & Voluntary Markets experience in collaboration with Underwriting and Actuarial Teams for brokers/clients and Director of Voluntary Products & Marketing

Target Profile:

  • 5 or more years of experience in group benefits or special risk insurance

  • Sales and/or marketing experience an asset

  • High School, University, Diploma, certificate or related experience

  • LOMA, CEBS or equivalent preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Experienced team player with a high degree of integrity and accountability

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, attention to detail and decision-making skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines

  • Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Suite applications

  • Bilingual (French-English) is a preferred asset
