Do you enjoy juggling priorities, human contact, and details? The Employee Experience is looking for an advisor whose mission will be to help shape the new flexible work environment at iA.

As a global mobility and immigration advisor (GM&I), you will be responsible for implementing a global mobility process, reference framework and policy to help iA Financial Group attract and retain talented individuals, regardless of where they work.

You will also have to keep this process alive as the person in charge of global mobility and immigration requests from employees.

Regarding the implementation of global mobility and immigration practices, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop the vision of iA Financial Group’s GI&I practice and be the resource person for internal and external partners

  • Propose, develop, and contribute to the implementation of GI&I processes, taking into consideration and collaborating with the different teams affected

  • Work with and solicit support from an external firm with experience in GI&I to put in place an efficient process

  • Coordinate an iA SWAT team whose mandate will be to develop GI&I processes The following expertise will be solicited: legal, risk management and compliance, taxation, IT, human resources (global compensation, administration and talent acquisition)

  • Help develop an overall international talent attraction and acquisition strategy

Regarding the management of global mobility and immigration requests, you will be responsible for the following:  

  • Guarantee contact with and an unparalleled employee experience for expatriates and immigrants at iA

  • Analyze, manage, and deliver simple and standard GI&I requests while coordinating with the different teams impacted  :

    • Analyze information related to the files and provide the required detailed reports

    • Coordinate all steps for the file: pre-departure (cost estimate, compensation report, work permit, etc.), relocation and year-end process

    • Meet with the affected employees to explain the conditions of their assignment or relocation and be available for any needs they may have

    • Coordinate and prepare the documentation needed for tax and compliance purposes

    • Provide payroll instructions

  • Maintain the various internal partnerships and relationships with external providers and/or advisors

  • Create, interpret, and present various GI&I indicators

  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the processes in place

  • Stay on top of the legislation and regulations governing your area of expertise

  • Monitor best practices and the practices of our competitors

Your career path looks like this:

  • You have a degree in a relevant field

  • You have three to five years of relevant work experience

  • You have excellent command of English and French, written and spoken

  • You master MS Suite

  • You have experience in taxation (asset)

  • Desired qualities: proactivity, resourcefulness, openness, interpersonal skills, independence, ability to tolerate ambiguity, analytical skills, adaptability, prioritization skills, discipline, detail-oriented
