As part of the iA Private Wealth Advisor & Client Experience team, the Strategic Initiatives and Client Experience Market Consultant is responsible for leading the research, development, financial management and execution of strategic initiatives primarily focused on growth opportunities.  This could include areas of growth in insurance, HNW service offering and estate planning.  The role will also be responsible for driving Voice of Advisor and Voice of Client research, insights and opportunities. 

In addition, this role will be responsible to provide Wealth business expertise to shape and execute enterprise wide client growth opportunities in partnership with Global Client Experience team and other lines of business. 

Wealth Strategic Initiatives

  • Research and identify business and services opportunities to drive growth in assets, revenue and/or profitability

  • Develop the business case by defining and measuring OKRs.  Ultimately accountable for key results

  • Proactively engage senior stakeholders to understand business and advisor needs and provide transparency of roadmap and execution progress

  • Lead multi-disciplinary meetings that drive forward the execution of key strategic projects and programs

  • Leads and maintains the list of growth opportunities, understanding their strategic and financial impact, and manages the “pipeline” of growth ideas and their prioritization on behalf of senior leadership.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all sales and corporate leaders including members of senior and executive leadership team.

  • Act as key liaison between various departments and functions to deliver and execute strategic initiatives

  • Provide leadership in proactively addressing gaps, risks and opportunities for the business in consultation with senior management and other departments

  • Responsible for developing Voice of Advisor and Voice of Client initiatives, and providing analysis by combining research findings from different stakeholders to identify trends and forward-looking insights

  • Business lead on Wealth Insurance transformation project

  • Lead contact for 3rd party partnerships and strategic relationships related to advisor business growth (estate and trust services, banking services, JD Power, Price Metrix)

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence and reporting solutions to senior management (KPI dashboard, ad hoc reporting)

Wealth Market Consultant (in partnership with Global Client Experience)

  • Act as the Wealth representative for the iA Global Client Experience (GCX) team, providing expert Wealth industry knowledge to the iA GCX team.

  • Identify growth opportunities for the Wealth business line as it relates to the iA enterprise strategy

  • Design, scope and assess growth opportunities, in collaboration with various stakeholders  (e.g. product profitability, targeted segments, channels selection, etc.) and get buy in.

  • Participate in go-to-market and deployment strategies of cross-selling initiatives, in collaboration with delivery teams, and help solve delivery road blocks.

Personal Attributes & Skills

  • P&L management experience with demonstrated history of driving profitable services/program adoption and growth

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex problems.

  • Solid research, market and finance analysis and analytical skills

  • Effectively communicate and influence with key insights, ideas and strategies, to peers and senior leadership teams in iA Private Wealth and across iAFG as well as external partners in a clear, compelling and concise manner

  • In-depth knowledge of Wealth (product offer, distribution channels) with strong network, reputation and leadership stills

  • Strong experience in working and managing multi-disciplinary teams in executing against major project and delivering results

  • High degree of self-motivation and ownership

  • Planning and organizational skills with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities, ability to manage functional programs independently

  • Robust presentation, documentation and analysis experience

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business, MBA preferred

  • Experience in Wealth Management required, particularly at a CIRO dealer member firm

  • 10+ years of strategy, consulting and/or business development experience.
